The Jackson Laboratory's Colony Management System (JCMS) is a free and supported multi-user relational database management system for managing research mouse colonies. Support for JCMS is provided by NIGMS, HHMI, and The Jackson Laboratory. JCMS has a broad user-community with currently over 2000 people signed up on the JCMS user support list and nearly 300 people signed up on the JCMS community user forum.
JCMS is designed for medium size (1 to 30 people) work groups. More information on JCMS can be found in the comprehensive user guide or the JCMS overview page.

Convert your JCMS database to use a MySQL database
You can convert your MS Access database backend to use MySQL. The interface will not change. Note that the MySQL converter works on JCMS versions 3.0 and higher.
