The JCMS MySQL Upgrader will upgrade previous versions of JCMS to v3.3.1

If you have JCMS version 3.0.0 thru version 3.3.0 on a MySQL database currently in use, you can upgrade to JCMS version 3.3.1 by following the steps below.

First, you will need to download the Upgrader scripts for MySQL, then extract the contents of the MySQLUpgradeScripts zip file.

Review the ReadMe instructions contained with the download.

Run the jcmsUpgrade.cmd file.
The command file will prompt you for the root password to execute a backup of the current database.
Next, the script will prompt you for the root password again, to execute the upgrade.

Verify success by viewing the generated log file.
The name of the logfile is jcms.mysql.log

Replace your current JCMS user interface with the v3.3.1 JCMS interface, and link it to the upgraded mysql database.
It's always a good idea to backup and save your existing jcms interface and database files, prior to replacement.

  download the JCMS v3.3.1 interface
Includes standard JCMS documents and files.

Link instructions (msOffice 2003 users):

Open the JCMS interface file, named jcms.mdb
Select F11
Click on Tables Tab
Click New
Click Link Table
Select ODBC Databases Type
Select myJCMS.dsn
Note: If you have defined your own "ODBC DSN", utilize that one.
